FAQs

What is the cancellation policy?

Sessions cancelled within 24 hours of the start time are charged in full. If you need to move a session, rescheduling into an open slot is your responsibility – if you find one that works, no harm done.

Private coaching requires a minimum of six sessions per month.

I've never touched a barbell. Can I start?

Yes – beginners are Simon's favourite clients to coach, because nothing needs unlearning. Every programme starts from how you move today, and the weightlifting classes at Performance Purist welcome beginners too.

I'm carrying an injury. Is that a problem?

It's practically Simon's speciality. He assesses first and loads intelligently – training around injuries, adapting sessions, and working alongside your physio or other practitioners where needed.

How does online coaching work?

Personalised programming delivered through a coaching app, video technique analysis, regular check-ins, and ongoing adjustments as you progress. The same movement-first standard, wherever you train.

What happens at the free intro session?

Thirty minutes: a conversation about your goals and history, a quick look at how you move, and an honest recommendation on the right way forward – whether that's 1:1 coaching, a small group, a class, or another coach entirely. Book a slot here.

Where do sessions happen?

At Performance Purist, 17 Poplar Avenue, Riverclub, Sandton – a boutique strength and conditioning gym built for exactly this kind of training. Online coaching is available anywhere.
